Dog Registration
The Kennel Club of Pakistan (KCP) maintains an official registry for purebred dogs in Pakistan. Dogs may be registered under the following categories:
A. Imported Dogs (Stud Book 1)
All imported dogs must be registered with KCP within six months of their arrival in Pakistan. Imported dogs registered in Stud Book 1 are eligible for breeding, exhibition, championship titles, and all other privileges available under KCP Rules and Regulations.
Required Documents
- Original Export Pedigree issued by the recognized kennel club of the country of origin.
- Travel-related documents confirming import of the dog.
- Health Certificate issued by the competent authority in the country of export.
- Copies of Championship, Working Title, or other official awards and certificates (if applicable).
- Recent color photographs of the dog, including a headshot and a side profile (standing).
B. Single Generation Registration (Stud Book 1)
This registration category is available only to KCP members. Dogs registered in this category are eligible for breeding in accordance with KCP Breeding Rules and may participate in all KCP-sanctioned events and compete for KCP Championship titles. However, dogs registered under Single Generation Registration are not eligible for International Championship titles.
Required Documents
- Recent color photographs of the dog, including headshot and side profile.
- Evaluation Report issued by a KCP-approved judge.
C. Single Generation Registration (Stud Book 2)
This registration category is available to both KCP members and non-members. There is no registration fee for dogs entered into Stud Book 2. Dogs registered in Stud Book 2 may participate in KCP-sanctioned events and activities. However, they are not eligible for breeding and their progeny cannot be registered with KCP.
Required Documents
- Recent color photographs of the dog, including headshot and side profile.
- Evaluation Report issued by a KCP-approved judge.
Important Notice
Dogs registered in Stud Book 2:
- May participate in KCP events and exhibitions.
- Are not eligible for breeding under KCP Rules and Regulations.
- Cannot produce progeny eligible for KCP registration.
- May not be upgraded to breeding status except in accordance with any future provisions approved by KCP.
