The KCP Cup Match is a fun, informal single-elimination (knockout) competition to encourage participation, sportsmanship and fellowship. It is not intended to evaluate dogs for breeding or titles.
Two dogs compete each round; the winner advances until a single Cup Winner is declared. Dogs of different breeds, ages and sexes may compete against each other.
Format
- Normally limited to 20 dogs, first come first served.
- After entries close, a random draw sets the first-round pairings — with no regard to breed, age, sex, previous awards or titles.
- Each round pairs two dogs; the Judge selects one winner who advances, the other is eliminated.
Awards
- Cup Winner and Runner-up.
- Additional commemorative trophies or prizes at the Organising Committee's discretion.
KCP Points System
Results are recorded for historical reference only and do NOT contribute towards championship titles, the KCP Points System, Hall of Fame or Dog of the Year rankings.
