Official Notice — KCP Hall of Fame: All Time Best
How the All Time Best is built: a Legacy List of dogs recognised from 1980 to date, and from this season a transparent ranking on career points — 500 for Grand Champion, 800 to enter the All Time Best.
The KCP Hall of Fame – All Time Best has been introduced to recognize and preserve the achievements of outstanding dogs that have made their mark on the history of dog shows in Pakistan.
Over the years, Pakistan has produced and exhibited many exceptional dogs. Unfortunately, complete historical show data was not available in a form that would allow KCP to accurately calculate and compare the performances of dogs from previous decades.
To preserve this important part of our history, the KCP team worked with senior and present-day dog fanciers to identify a selection of well-known and widely recognized top-performing dogs from 1980 to date. These dogs form our Legacy All Time Best List and provide the starting point for the KCP Hall of Fame.
Going forward, qualification for the All Time Best ranking will be completely transparent and based on the KCP Points System.
The New Points System
Under the new system, a dog earns points throughout its show career according to its performance, from class competition through Breed, Group and Best in Show level.
Points are calculated according to the highest achievement of the dog at each show.
The system will be managed automatically through the new KCP Digital Ring Management System. After every show, points will be calculated and added to the dog’s permanent KCP profile.
The points system will also determine:
- Dog of the Season
- KCP Grand Champion
- All Time Best Rankings
A dog must earn a minimum of 500 career points to qualify as a KCP Grand Champion.
A dog must earn a minimum of 800 career points to qualify for inclusion in the All Time Best ranking.
As a starting point, all previous Grand Champions have already been awarded 500 points, because they are already Grand Champions.
Once eligible, dogs will be ranked according to their total career points. As dogs continue competing and earning points, their positions may change automatically.
Unlike Dog of the Season, which recognizes performance during a particular show season, All Time Best is a career achievement. Points continue to accumulate throughout a dog’s entire show career.
The Hall of Fame therefore brings together two important parts of KCP history: the Legacy Dogs whose achievements helped shape dog showing in Pakistan and future generations whose performances will now be preserved through accurate digital records.
This new system ensures that outstanding achievements are recognized fairly, transparently and permanently for generations to come.
