Official Notice — Introduction of KCP Digital Ring Management System
From the upcoming show season, all KCP, Gundog Club of Pakistan and Pakistan Rottweiler Club shows will be conducted through the new Digital Ring Management System — results, critiques and points recorded from the show ground.
All KCP, GDCP and PRC Shows to Go Digital
The Kennel Club of Pakistan is pleased to announce the introduction of its new Digital Ring Management System, which will be implemented from the upcoming show season.
From the new season onwards, all KCP, Gundog Club of Pakistan (GDCP) and Pakistan Rottweiler Club (PRC) shows will be conducted through the Digital Ring Management System.
This is an important step towards making dog shows in Pakistan more efficient, transparent and professionally managed.
Completely Digital Ring Management
The new system will replace most of the paperwork traditionally used inside the show ring.
The Ring Steward will operate the system on an iPad while the Judge concentrates entirely on judging the dogs. The Judge will announce the qualification, placement and awards and dictate the Judge’s critique where required. The Ring Steward will record this information directly into the system.
The system will be connected with the official online show catalogue and will automatically follow the class and competition sequence applicable to the particular type of show.
Automatic Show Progression
Once the results of a class are completed, the system will automatically identify the dogs eligible to proceed to the next competition.
Depending upon the show format, this may include:
- CAC or CACIB Competitions
- Best Minor Puppy of Breed
- Best Puppy of Breed
- Best Junior of Breed
- Best Veteran of Breed
- Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex
- Group Competitions
- Best Minor Puppy in Show
- Best Puppy in Show
- Best Junior in Show
- Best Veteran in Show
- Best in Show and other applicable final competitions
This will considerably reduce the possibility of administrative mistakes during a show.
Results and Judge’s Reports
Official results and Judge’s critiques will be recorded digitally and updated in the KCP system directly from the show ground.
This will allow results to become part of the dog’s official record without the need to re-enter information manually after the event.
Automatic Points Calculation
The Digital Ring Management System will also be connected with the new KCP Points System.
After completion of a show, the system will automatically calculate eligible points according to the dog’s highest achievement and update its:
- Show Record
- Season Points
- Career Points
- Dog of the Season Ranking
- Grand Champion Progress
- Hall of Fame – All Time Best Progress
Better and Permanent Records
One of the most important objectives of this development is to create accurate and permanent records of dog shows in Pakistan.
Class results, major awards, Judge’s reports and points will now be maintained digitally and linked with the individual dog’s KCP profile.
Similar digital ring management systems are already used at major dog shows internationally. With the introduction of this system, KCP is taking another important step towards modernizing show management and preserving our show records for the future.
The new Digital Ring Management System will be introduced from the upcoming KCP show season and will be used for all applicable KCP, GDCP and PRC events.
